Example MIXCARD playlist card — Valentine's Day for son

Heavy cardstock, printed track listing on the front, QR code on the back, mailed in a real envelope.

At a glance
  • MIXCARD prints any Spotify playlist as a physical card and mails it via USPS.
  • Cards arrive in 3-5 business days within the US.
  • The QR code on the back works on Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube, or any platform.
  • Parents sending to grown kids often build the playlist from songs they associate with raising them: the school-run radio, the songs from his sports years, the album playing the day he left for college.

He's grown up. He has his own apartment, his own playlists, his own opinions about which producer ruined which album. You've been on the receiving end of his music for years now — the songs he texts you, the artists he tries to explain.

Valentine's for a grown son isn't really a thing the card aisle covers. He's not a kid anymore. You're not sending him a card with a teddy bear on it.

MIXCARD prints his playlist on heavy cardstock and mails it. You can use songs he turned you onto, or build him one from his era — high school summers, college, the year he moved out. Real envelope, real stamp. It shows up at his place and he texts you within the hour.

Why It Works

What makes this card different

Says I see who you are now

Most parent-to-kid gifts still treat them like the kid in the photo on the fridge. A card with his current music says you're paying attention to the adult he became.

He'll text you fast

Nothing else in his mail looks anything like this. The card lands and he calls. That's the whole gift.

Lives in his apartment

He'll put it somewhere — on the desk, the fridge, the shelf with the things he keeps. It's a piece of you in his place when you're not there.

Where to start

Songs you used to wake him up to

The exact tracks from school mornings. He'll be embarrassed and grateful in the same minute.

Music he turned you onto

The artists he kept sending you links to until you admitted he was right.

The summer he left

Whatever was playing in the car the day you dropped him at school. The exact soundtrack of the year everything changed.

FAQ

Common questions

What if he doesn't have Spotify?

He doesn't need it. The song names are printed on the card itself, and the QR code works with Apple Music, YouTube, or anywhere.

How long does it take to arrive?

Cards print in 1-2 business days and arrive in 3-5 days. Order by early February to make Valentine's.

Can I include a note?

Yes. The back of the card is yours. A line, a memory, or just "happy Valentine's, kid."

Is Valentine's from a parent to a grown son weird?

Not at all — a lot of families do small Valentines across generations. The card reframes it as "thanks for the music" if you'd rather it read that way.
